28 Things Betcha Didn’t Know About Aloe Vera
I have a huge aloe vera plant in my kitchen bay window. A few years ago, I thought it was a goner, but thankfully I didn’t throw it away. It has blossomed into a very hearty plant, and has gotten so big I’ve had to give several sections of it away.
Most of us think of aloe vera as a sunburn soother. Although it’s great for burns, it has many other health benefits as well (links go to scientific studies provided by Google Scholar): Read the full post here →

The Wonder of Water
Water prevents and helps to cure heartburn. Heartburn is a signal of water shortage in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract. It is a major thirst signal of the human body. The use of antacids or tablet medications in the treatment of this pain does not correct dehydration, and the body continues to suffer as a result of its water shortage. Read the full post here →

Your Doctor Will Recommend Lipitor Even if Your Numbers are Low – and Here’s Why
I was reading an article by Arthur Agatston, MD called A Heart of Change. In it he talks about how puzzled doctors are that you can have “high cholesterol” and yet have no heart troubles, and how some patients have great cholesterol and have heart troubles. (Um, maybe it’s because cholesterol isn’t the enemy here!)
He goes on to talk about the size of the cholesterol particles being the important thing. Read the full post here →
Statins Increase Your Risk of Foodborne Illness
The U.S. government claims that it is trying to address the problem of foodborne illnesses. So why is it recommending drugs that may actually put its citizens at greater risk from food poisoning?
Cholesterol drugs make you more vulnerable to bacterial infections such as e. coli and salmonella — a recent study shows that the statin drug simvastatin (sold under the names Zocor and Simvacor), which the government advocates as a means of lowering cholesterol levels, actually weakens your immune system. Wonder drugs (statins, blood pressure) revealed as a complete scam: Here’s why they don’t work
Surprise! Statin, commonly referred to as the wonder drug, has come under scrutiny again for not living up to its claims. This drug has been shown to be ineffective at best and is tied to numerous serious side effects. Statins are frequently prescribed to treat a plethora of illnesses including heart attacks, prevention of heart disease, strokes, broken bones, and some have even been suggested that they are effective at preventing Alzheimer’s (http://www.naturalnews.com/022726.html). I love summer. My kids love to play outside, and I can sit in the sun with my laptop and soak up the Vitamin D. It’s so comforting to have the sun on my skin, knowing not only does it feel good on the surface of the skin, but the Vitamin D that is being produced is doing the inside of my body good, too.

I had to know. Is mold really that scary? Is oxygen really a threat? Are mason jars really evil? I thought some of you might like to read what I have discovered...
