Atchara – and the winner is…
Well I’ll be honest. I never thought there would be so many entries for this giveaway! I thought it might be a little too “far out” for some of you. I am so glad there has been so much interest in atchara – it truly is a wonderful condiment that is complementary to any cooked meal.
If you missed the original post, you may be wondering what atchara is. Atchara is a traditional fermented condiment – think sauerkraut. Made from papaya, coconut water vinegar, and other organic ingredients, it’s tangy.
I find these kind of fermented items to hide well with protein. For example, I put a couple of table spoons under my hot dog or inside my tuna sandwich and it takes the “bite” out.
