Keep your hair out of your food with beautiful Lilla Rose Flexi Clips (win one!)

Are you tired of finding hair in your food? Or having your hair get in your way just when you started kneading dough?

I have waist-length hair so I make it a habit to put my hair back in a twist with a large claw clip when I am about to make a meal in the kitchen. Finding a long strand of hair in your pizza crust just isn’t very appetizing!

Apart from working in the kitchen, I often pull my hair up in a twist or some sort of a bun in the warmer months – my very long hair just gets too warm when it’s hot and humid out. In fact most winter days I have it back as well, just to get it out of the way.

The only thing I could find to hold all my hair is a large claw clip. But I’d often find myself adjusting it once or twice a day, and if not placed right, I could feel it tugging at my scalp.

You know, there are so many great books out there, and this is definitely one of the best.

Breast to Bib by Kate Tietje is a book I wish I had access to when I was pregnant with my children.

I was honored to be able to review Breast to Bib before it was published. You will find the following quote of mine at the top of the list under “Praise for Breast to Bib:”

I am happy to review for you today a high quality product that is super good for you – NutraPro butter oil.

First I want to address the confusion surrounding use of the terms butter oil, ghee, and clarified butter. I admit I, myself, am confused as to what makes the difference between the three, since they seem to all look alike and be essentially the same.

According to NutraPro, who provided me with a jar of their delicious-tasting butter oil, there is a difference between butter oil and ghee/clarified butter, and “it’s in the manufacturing.”

Coconut Cream Concentrate – review and giveaway!

I am excited to report Tropical Traditions Coconut Cream Concentrate is back in stock. It’s only been a week and the 16 oz. size is already backordered, but the 36 oz. jar is currently available (and you save a few bucks buying the larger size anyways).

I have enjoyed using this Coconut Cream Concentrate in several ways since I’ve had my jar, and my favorite way is to eat it right off the spoon :)

Coconut Cream Concentrate is great for making coconut milk. Simply add one or two teaspoons to a glass of water, and there you have it: coconut milk.
