I just can’t stop talking about Lemongrass Spa! It’s been a whirlwind romance
In just a couple of weeks I learned, I partied, I joined
When I checked out their products I was thrilled to be able to find body care items that I could begin to purchase again. I have given up on any sort of ready-made deodorant, mascara, sunscreen, soap - and you know I’ve been no-poo for eight years now. I have been pleased with the alternatives I’ve come up with, but it just adds to the list of things I have to make from scratch.
It’s a relief to know there is a place to purchase ready-made items with ingredients you can pretty much eat! When you read the ingredients, you’ll see what I mean - no chemicals, no GMO’s, and for those of you who are gluten-free, you’ll be happy to know all but the oatmeal soap and almond body polish are gluten-free! I encourage you to do as I did and look up any ingredients you aren’t sure about over at EWG’s Skin Deep.
Closer Look at Lemongrass Spa Shampoo and Conditioner
I have to say one of the biggest draws is their shampoo and conditioner. Check out the ingredients, then compare with what you are using currently. You can also purchase a travel size as a way or trying it out before committing to full-sized bottles.
Kimberly tells me she is thrilled with this find, and her and her daughter’s hair has never been better.
Shampoo Ingredients: aloe vera gel, coconut olefin, coconut betaine, lemon extract, avocado oil, grapefruit seed extract, potassium sorbate, Vitamins A,C & E, essential oils of Juniper, Frankincense, Neroli, Jasmine, Rosemary, Lavender, Basil, Chamomile, Cardamon, Cedarwood, Geranium, Rose & Sandalwood.
Conditioner Ingredients: Aloe Vera Gel, Vegetable Oil Quaternary, Cellulose Gum, Coconut Oil Hydroxyl, Vegetable Glycerin, Lemon Extract, Citric Acid, Palmitate, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Essential Oils of Lavender, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Myrrh, Neroli, Jasmine, Rosemary, Bergamot, Cypress.
Mascara
This was a huge draw for me. I’ve been mascara-free for years, simply because I was unable to find a mascara without chemicals. Check out the image below showing you the ingredients of Lemongrass Spa mascara compared to the Almay I used to wear (wow - can you see why I stopped?).
Ingredients: Water, organic chamomile hydrosol, beeswax, carnauba wax, coffee powder, rice extract, sunflower seed oil, natural shellac wax, corn starch, lemon peel extract, grapefruit seed extract.
This is what a customer has to say when I asked her if she liked the mascara: “Hum, let’s see… LOVE IT!! It’s night and day difference from the last stuff I got. One application and it looks great! Didn’t smear, yet washed off easily. Oh and best part?? I didn’t have a reaction to it!! I’d say it ranks right up there with my old Lancome, but of course MUCH better ingredients. ”
Sunscreen
You will find Lemongrass Spa sunscreen to contain non-nano zinc oxide, which is a wonderful protective covering against sun burns, but won’t be absorbed in your skin. I’ve just simply gone without for several years, choosing instead to wear hats and expose skin to the sun gradually. This isn’t always easy (the gradual part), so I am thrilled to have a safe option for those days when we are thrust in the sun with no shade.
Ingredients: Apricot kernel oil, coconut oil, beeswax, non-nano zinc oxide, mango butter, jojoba oil, shea butter, titanium dioxide, calendula extract, vitamin E oil.
Travel Face Care Kit
Check around for travel-sized products, like Lemongrass Spa’s Travel Face Care Kit. This Travel Face Care Kit contains Gentle Cleansing Gel, Hydrating Eye Creme, Pomegranate Facial Polish, Face Creme with Botanicals and Pomegranate Facial Mask. Only $11 for the set.
Healing Elements Balm
If you are a mom, you will want Healing Elements Balm!! April tells me this replaced all their first aid cream, bug bite cream, acne, night cream, eczema cream, diaper rash ointment, and more. That is quite a testimony! It also comes as a glide-on stick.
Ingredients: Calendula Oil, apricot kernel oil, almond oil, mango butter, coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, jojoba oil, zinc oxide, Vitamin E Oil, grapefruit seed extract, Lavender essential oil, Roman Chamomile essential oil.
Mystery Hostess Party
Now I am hosting my own “Mystery Hostess” party. This means, everyone who purchases through my party will be entered into the drawing to see who will receive the hostess benefits, which translates into freebies for you! As long as the cumulative orders hit $200, one of you will earn $20 in credits. Simply purchase through this link to be eligible. I have shared this on facebook, but haven’t blogged about it until today (sorry!) and the party ends tomorrow at 6pm EST. Of course you can order through my website at any time
