When I shared my Sunshine Popcorn recipe with you yesterday I told you I would be sharing my Homemade Caramel Topping recipe with you today.
This is that post
I didn’t create this recipe - although it’s so simple, I wonder why it didn’t come to mind. You have Sherry M. to thank for this one…or to want to slap for giving you a sweet tooth
Put equal amounts butter and honey in a small sauce pan. I have one like this, although I am drooling over this cast iron melting pot.
I used 1/2 cup of each.
Stir over medium heat - you will see it get bubbly. Keep stirring.
After just a few minutes (3-5)you will see it begin to get glossy and caramelize.
When you turn off the heat, you will see it’s thicker now and looks like caramel! You can whisk in some vanilla right now if you wish - up to you
You can use as a topping for popcorn, ice cream, brownies, cheesecake - whatever you wish
ENJOY! ![]()
