Why You Should Avoid Pork

I just read a really good article on Why You Should Avoid Pork.

I already know what it says in the Bible - the pig is unclean and not to be eaten because it is a scavenger. I also learned:

They eat anything they can find, even the carcasses of sick animals. That makes for some pretty dirty meat!

Although a popular meat, pork can be loaded with toxins due to their quick digestive system. Since they digest food in only four hours, many of the toxins are stored in their fat since they do not have the ability to sweat it out (yes, you read that right - pigs don’t have sweat glands).

Why is this bad? Their fat is often what we are eating. Bacon anyone?

If you want to get further grossed out - which would not be a bad thing since it may cause you to re-think your next meal of pork - be sure to read the full story of why you should avoid pork.

  1. That’s dumb. The article does not explain what “toxins” we should be afraid of in (pastured) pork. Trichinosis is not a threat. What a random, stupid article.
