Lea’s goal is to raise awareness of what goes into our mouths and on our bodies, providing natural alternative information that promotes health and prevents disease by using traditional foods and nature’s medicine (God-given herbs and supplements).
It’s helpful to know what to avoid, and what to indulge in, why to go natural, and how to make your own.
Products suggested or recommended can be found at any health food store and many places online. When a specific product/brand is recommended, it is because Lea has or would use that product personally.

Your amazing and I can’t wait to visit your other sites! You will have many others visiting because I just shared with others on my facebook and their are many homeschoolers that will be following you I’m sure.
Thank you for having a purpose and sharing with us all.
Thank you so much for your kind words
Thank you for all your work on behalf of health. I used to pursue a raw vegan diet until my teeth became sensitive as a prelude to old familiar feelings of decay. I then bought the ebook “Cure Tooth Decay” by Ramiel Nagel, and after reading his findings, I finally understood my errors. I had never connected food nutrient quality WITH proper preparation methods, and the history and research of Weston A. Price were key in this revelation. Now all of food is redeemed, all the better for my future children!
Cure Tooth Decay is a great book. I have a copy and really enjoyed it.
Good for you for getting into nutrient quality foods with proper preparation methods.
Thanks for stopping by!
I just found your website and it looks like something that I would visit often however, your banner on the right side of the page is on top of articles and I can’t click on the articles to read them. Can you have your web designer fix the page?
Which banner?
Lea, Just came across your site via your link and post on Modern Alternative Mama. Great article. Having grown up on organic produce and meat has made me realize how bad store brought products can be and how privileged I was as a child. Now as an adult I have developed a rash around my mouth, which resembles a mild version of a diaper rash. I have been going through various elimination processes in hopes of coming across the culprit, but with no results. Do you know of any book or a starting point to determining the cause? I have been to a Dermatologist, with only band aid solutions. I await your reply. Thank you.
Coreen - that is a great question. I am going to post it on my FB page and see if anyone has any experience with this.
Meantime, I’d try coconut oil.
Lea,
Thank you for all the helpful information and fb posts. I started by switching toothpastes. I seemed to remember the rash reducing during a visit to see my sister. During that time I used her toothpaste. So far the change has reduced the rash, it seems to be drying up and the itch has stopped. The little research that I have done seems to point to propylene glycol as being the source of the rash. There are a few facial products that have increased the rash and they have pg listed as an ingredient. Just wanted to share. I am still on the hunt and will see what happens in a few weeks.
Many thanks.
I got some great responses on Facebook here they are:
“You haven’t been chewing or sucking on your lips?”
“could it be your toothpaste?”
“That can be related to food sensitivity/allergy. I have seen it happen with beets, citrus fruit, tomatoes and other nightshade fruits, etc.”
“Could be a yeast die off from candida. Especially if you are bloated, gassy, constipated, burping, look into the candida cleanse diet.”
“I’ve developed the same thing. The dr has no idea, the dentist has no idea… I tried triple antibiotic & coconut oil, to no avail. I finally got a steroid Rx which I hate to even think of using, but it’s the only thing that works. I had to use it daily up until recently. Wish I had an answer for & if you find one please let me know!”
“Try propolis”
“Apply Calendula gel or Lavender oil,or Colloidal Silver,,eat fresh raw garlic, stay away from anything that may have yeast in it,drink Dandelion root tea or take capsules,Red Clover capsules,Olive leaf capsules, hope this helps
have a blessed day

“I believe it is acute myelitis. Up your B Vitamins to prevent future outbreaks from what I have read. I took the easy route and used lotrimin/clotramizole to get rid of mine.”
“Sounds right Weldon Williford and if that’s the case, if you use antibiotic cream it will worsen it!”
“It’s called foot and mouth”
“Yeast was my first thought. Fermented foods and kombucha. Decrease carbs and sugars. You can actually apply kombucha to the skin.”
“My daughter had it last year for 2 weeks. We put her on a strict water only bathtime and used coconut oil internally and externally to clear it up. This is what started our love affair with coconut oil actually”
“Pash rash.”
“My son gets that. He is sensitive to gluten. His dad doesn’t feed him gluten free (when he’s at his house). I believe its also caused by nightshades after asking him about the foods he’s had. BTW. After being home he clears up after 2 days.”
“I think yeast is deciding to detox right out of your mouth and lip area, and/or you maybe detoxing to fast and low on your vitamins and mineral. Try black leaf tinture and emu oil to that area. Look at your vitamin and mineral intake and adjust it. Drink 1/2 of your body weight in ozs. of water a day to add in detox program. Try Krill oil to aid in imflammtion, don’t buy if it has fish oil or tuna oil in it, that product is high in metals. I like Dr. Mercola’s krill oil.”
“elimanation diet. I would start with dairy first.”
“Definitely sounds like yeast I see it all the time at nursing home… in weird spots other than the vagina.. spotty, red… I would look into this theory the most. Sugars increase it and yes a healthy diet can help to get rid of it…”
“Greek yogurt and yogurts could actually help get rid of yeast. So I wouldn’t get rid of all dairy ..”
“If all these suggestions don’t help, try the GAPS intro diet.”
“My son had a rash around his mouth (18 years old) and it turned out he was allergic to Aleve.”
“Could be perioral dermatitis. Very difficult to get rid of. I had it about 3 years ago. I used different young living essential oils and it still took 3 months to get rid of.”
“Have you been bitten by a tick in the last few months?”
I hope this helps you!
