This is one of our favorite frostings to make now, and it is super easy!
I used this as a frosting when I made chocolate sourdough cake.
It also works well on brownies!
I love that I can make frosting without using powdered sugar. Here is my simple little recipe…
Maple Syrup Frosting
Food process 1 1/2 cups palm shortening, 1/4 - 1/3 cup maple syrup, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or paste (optional). Before I started making my own vanilla extract, I used this kind.
That’s it!
You can certainly double this recipe if you need to.
